Alsammarae Update
The family of an Oak Brook businessman jailed in Iraq is pleading for his safety. Aiham Alsammarae, an Iraqi-born U.S. citizen served as Minister of Electricity in Iraq. He was convicted of corruption by an Iraqi court and sentenced to two years in prison. In an interview from a Baghdad jail, he tells Elizabeth Brackett that he is not guilty and fears he will be killed if he is moved from the jail to an Iraqi prison outside the heavily-fortified green zone.
