The newly redrawn 14th District includes parts of six Illinois counties: McHenry, Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Lake and Will. Rep. Hultgren was first elected in 2010, and is running for reelection unopposed in the Republican party.

Rep. Joe Walsh, currently representing the 8th District, had initially planned to run in the newly redrawn14th District against Rep. Hultgren, but decided instead to run for reelection in the 8th District.
