I do no think the answer is more police, this community needs more social services such as how to be a better parent, better schools, adult basic education, and a reduction of Section 8 housing vocher holder. If some of these issues could be resolved I think it would make Englewood a better place to live.

Gina, well said, No this, "The Gang Book 2012", $29.95 give me a fck.... brake, prevention is everything, Free technical education, drug rehabilitation etc, free health care for all. Stop the corporate lobbying, that control media that infuse crap on the community the young minds, like Hollywood garbage, food and drug pollution of our bodies, money and ignorance goes together.. but no fighting wars for oil and world control with Chinese money.. is th norm .. we as a community and a nation are a joke...

Does "The Gang Book" also cover suburban Cook County? In the past few months, I have seen gang tags on a mailbox & on the side of a former medical office building on the north side of Mount Prospect. It made my heart grow faint as a Baby Boomer.

Hello! I am deeply appreciative of Police Chief Jody Weis and the Police Force, to provide such a detailed documentary about our City's Gang Ridden areas! I hope that this information would and will soon be available On-Line to anyone to see and view at their convenience at home before making any future decisions deciding what part of the City anyone should or would not move based on the evidenced Crime Statistics? I am especially curious because I need to plan a move in the next few months, but I am yet undecided which would be the Safest area for me to move to?
Because the Information is not yet published on-line, I wonder if I could get a free copy of it on line to Print? Thank you for your attention and reply!
Best Regards, Steve Horvath, Chicago, Illinois 60607

The info given to police on certain people in the book was not fact checked, because they have me in there as a gang-leader and I'm not even affiliated with a gang. Another of the guys labeled as a gang leader in the book I know him from 8th grade, I have not seen him in over 5 years. So does that make me a gang leader because I went to school with someone who was gang affiliated? I am taking legal action against the publishers and writers of this book. They should have fact checked before putting my life in danger!
