Good program. I hope you will continue to report on this debacle that the mayor has created.
The city is assuring citizens that they will not bare the cost of the extra security and preparations for the mini summit. Yet Toronto spent $100 million when it hosted a similar event. Chicago's business leaders are dead beats. I have little confidence they will pay the short fall between the full cost and the Federal contribution.
One question not asked was how much the mayor has offered to pay the National Restaurant Association to reschedule its annual event, retain it in Chicago and to salve its president's outrage at the offhanded way the mayor screwed up their long planned event.
