It was a great way to have
It was a great way to have unity with other youngsters and teenagers. Every Saturday we all gathered around the TV across the country and watched our black music stars and personalities. We all learned the same dances at the same time and enjoyed trying them out at the parties. Don Cornelius had a great idea and it lasted generations.

I loved Soul Train! It was such an amazing alternative to the rather dull American Bandstand. It previewed terrific music and the dancers were fabulous.
