This story needs several clarifications
For starters Chicago Tonight, please explain more about the term "mayoral control" used in one of the public comments at the CPS board meeting. What is the history of the control of the public schools in Chicago at the neighborhood and city-wide levels and remind us how central public l boards are chosen in the overwhelming majority of other communities in the U.S.? Then tell us what the commenter who said "our country (including our public schools) is being turned over to the interests of business and banks" was talking about.
