Saw the interview with Mr. Rutherford. It seems to fall right in with your recent stories about the pension problems. I truly wish that WTTW would do a little investigating on the issue before agreeing with people that have an agenda. An example is the Chicago Commerce Committee. They a have been lobbying against pensions of Illinois workers for the past few years. The facts they have presented have not been correct. All you would have to do is either send a reporter to talk to representatives of the teacher’s retirement system or call them for verification of facts. I'm sure other pension fund organizations are as easy to contact. Please make sure you have the facts before you go along with this misinformation.
