Cybersecurity: Protecting Privacy in the Digital Age

Disclosures by former National Security Agency analyst Edward Snowden have revealed massive government surveillance programs that have been monitoring and collecting data on everything from our phone calls to our internet usage.

It's all done in the name of combating terrorism, but the information of millions of innocent Americans and others is being swept up in the NSA's dragnet.

Joining us to discuss the NSA disclosures, and what if anything we can do to protect our privacy in the digital age, is Richard Stiennon, chief research analyst at IT-Harvest. Stiennon is the author of Surviving Cyberwar and writes the Cyber Domain column for Forbes. Also joining us is Chris Hadnagy, president and CEO of Social-Engineer, Inc., who specializes in looking at ways that would-be hackers exploit human weaknesses to obtain access to information.

Both Stiennon and Hadnagy will be appearing with other IT security professionals at the SC Congress Chicago conference on Nov. 20 at VenueOne Chicago.
