CPS Unveils $5.7 Billion Budget


The Chicago Public School system today unveiled its latest $5.7 billion dollar budget. It relies on an accounting change that will bring in an extra $650 million to help close a massive budget gap. At the same time, the mayor says Chicago public school children were safer last year than any other year in his tenure. Paris Schutz has more on how that works and reaction from the teacher’s union.
