Limiting the Speed on Illinois Tollways


Gov. Pat Quinn vetoed a bill that would raise speed limits to 70 mph throughout the state's 286-mile tollway after it had passed the General Assembly with flying colors. State Sen. Jim Oberweis, who sponsored the bill, is threatening to override the governor's decision. Did the governor make the right decision by vetoing the bill? We talk to President and CEO of the National Safety Council Deborah Hersman and Barnet Fagel of the National Motorists Association to analyze the highs and lows of the speed limit debate.
