Chicago Tonight: The Week in Review, August 28

On this edition of Chicago Tonight: The Week in Review with Joel Weisman, our panel of guests discuss state and local politics, education, traffic, sports, and more.

Two Virginia journalists were shot and killed on live TV, sparking outrage, grief and, as one reporter says, safety concerns in Chicago. On Monday, Chicago Public Schools unanimously approved a $5.7 billion budget, which relies on a massive bailout from Springfield. A new traffic study reveals Chicago drivers spent an average of 61 extra hours on the road last year. An attorney representing Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose blasts a lawsuit accusing the Bulls star and two friends of gang-raping Rose’s ex-girlfriend.
