Since the commonly prescribed medications, Boniva and Fosamax have side effects that I experienced (acid reflux)and the efficacy of the drugs has been in doubt anyway. The drugs maintain old bone which not only masks the bone density problem, but causes weakness and fractures......Do you have any alternatives therapies to recommend regarding bone loss in women? Btw I am on BHRT.

A close friend of mine (58, female) suffers from advanced and debilitating systemic lupus. She went on Benlysta last spring, and is also on methotrexate and other drugs. My question: To what extent can naturopathic medicine have a beneficial impact on the symptoms (great deal of constant pain) and the actual disease (a serious threat to major organs) of this awful disease?

Hello, I have had High Blood Pressure for a few years and I am currently taking an ACE inhibitor and diuretic medications. I would like to get away from these medicines and see if there is some life style change I can adapt that would control my problem. How do I apply for an analysis at the Raby Institute?

My mother was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in Nov. '08 and has had all the standard therapies from chemotherapy to surgery and radiation. The metastatic disease has progressed and a tumor is present at the hepatic artery in the liver. The liver disfunction has caused fluid to build up in her abdomen. She has had several drainage sessions. Are there natural remedies herbal, etc that might improve her condition? I have given her "milk thistle" in the past which seemed to improve her liver function. In addition I have discovered the benefits of "cimetidine" which is an over the counter ant-acid pill. The recommended dose is 800mg/day at 400mg twice a day. Apparently this has had success in the past for someone with metasatic cancer. Anyway, what if anything else can we do? She is on diuretics which doesn't seem to reduce the fluid build up. Anything you can offer us would be greatly appreciated.

I have suffered with psoriasis for years and nothing seems to work long term. It is accompanied by topical (superficial) inflammation. Is there anything that would work? I also suffer with severe migraines. Homeopathic remedies do not work for either of these maladies. Is there anything you can recommend? Thank you.
