Civil Rights are being stripped away at an alarming rate with many states passing illegal immigration laws making immigrants second class citizens. These 'Jim Crow' like laws include racial profiling, illegal search and seizure, deportations that split families apart, denying the rights to vote, denying the rights to drivers licenses, ect. Not to mention the ravaging of African American communities by the industrial prison complex and the bogus drug laws that prop it up.

I agree with the last statement about the ravaging of African american communities by industrial prison complex and the bogus drug laws that prop it up. I think that the part about drugs is all apart of racial stereotypes.

I believe Dr King would be gravely disappointed at the lack of progress in race relations and politics now. I think he would recognize some progress in spots. He would see with pride that we have an African American President. However he might be brought to tears looking at the high percentage of Blacks in prison, the disparity and unfairness of judicial decisions, and the overall state of people in "urban centers"

If i were MLK I would be really disappointed myself but Phil personally It wouldn't matter to me I follow his dream but who ever doesn't should be ashamed of themselves.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed in the individual. I believe that he would be quite disappointed with the current poverty in America, the never-ending wars that put our youth and foreign citizens in harms way, the denial of rights to gays and lesbians, etc. It seems to me that very few, if any, of our politicians can state that they believe in and follow Dr. King's principles.

(inside tonights piece on IL GOP candidates)

liked that POTUS Andrew Jackson quote: JM "has made his decision, now let him enforce it!"

that is President Obamas issue this whole term - many masters of powers never accepted/liked him in that power spot

so Stockholm Syndrome has sunk in - give the masters what they want - they pull the strings anyway

Financesters & Corporatism rule these days

but imo the flip of above is possible with this crop of GOP candidates

we live in interesting times ... further discussion (well) done

If martin luther king jr. was still alive he would be disapointed because of all the gang violence and black on bblack crime, high rate of unemployment, teenage pregnancy, and h.i.v Therefore we need to make solutiond and not pollutions to mind body and soul we fought for freedom and now we are destroying our community with drugs. How can we let freedom ring if were scared to wear red beause of the bloods pressing you and the blue because of the crips. insteadt of fighting each other we should be educating each otherto susucceed in our life long goal. therefore stop puttingeach other down stop the bullying lets start helping each other up.If i were MLK I would be really disappointed myself but Phil personally It wouldn't matter to me I follow his dream but who ever doesn't should be ashamed of themselves.in conclusion lets keep his dream alive.
