This week on Chicago Tonight: The Week in Review, former Mayor Richard M. Daley and his family were joined by dignitaries and regular Chicagoans alike to say goodbye to Chicago’s former first lady Maggie Daley. Federal prosecutors are seeking up to 20 years in prison for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Will the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Sears leave the state now that legislators have overwhelmingly defeated massive tax breaks for the Chicago-area employers? American Airlines declares bankruptcy and is exploring pulling out of Midway, but remains committed to O’Hare expansion. And in sports, the Cubs sign David DeJesus and reportedly pursue Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder. And the Bears hope backup quarterback Caleb Hanie can shake off last week’s loss and lead the Monsters of the Midway to a win against the lowly Chiefs.
