Deeply Rooted Dance Theater
To celebrate their 15th Anniversary Season Finale, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater will debut two new works at the Harris Theater at Millennium Park. Chicago Women of Song honors the vocal talents of seven Chicago-based songstresses: Chaka Khan, Dinah Washington, Anita O’Day, Mahalia Jackson, Mavis Staples, Minnie Riperton and Jennifer Hudson. The second production, Bach’d, pays tribute to Johann Sebastian Bach’s Violin Concerto in A Minor. Both original works were conceived by the company's Artistic Director, Kevin Iega Jeff, and Associate Artistic Director, Gary Abbott. Learn more about Deeply Rooted. A Christmas Carol
For the past 30 years, A Christmas Carol has lit up the stage of the Goodman Theatre during the holiday season. This year, Larry Yando reprises the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, the crotchety old miser from Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale. Tom Creamer's adaptation is replete with festive music and dance numbers, high flying ghosts and plenty of cheer. The production will run through December 31. Tickets range from $25 to $80.

The Nutcracker
Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky's magical holiday tradition comes to life at The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago. Accompanied by the Chicago Sinfonietta Orchestra perform, the Joffrey’s wildly popular production has toured the U.S. more than any other, and been performed 25 years in a row. The iconic story, rich costuming and sumptuous scenery are sure to charm children and adults alike. The ballet will run through December 27.  Tickets range from $30 to $115.

Caroling at Cloud Gate
Sing your heart out at the Bean! For the sixth season, Caroling at the Cloud Gate brings together hundreds of Chicagoans of all ages (and skill levels) to sing in Millennium Park. Every week, a Chicago choral group invites visitors to join them in a holiday sing-along. This week, the caroling will be lead by the Windy City Gay Chorus. Caribou Coffee will keep you toasty with complimentary warm beverages during the 50-minute song session. Afterwards, visitors are welcome to skate at Millennium Park’s McCormick Tribune Ice Rink. The free program runs through December 16.

Donny & Marie: Christmas in Chicago
Donny and Marie Osmond continue the tradition of the “Osmond Family Christmas” TV specials right in your neighborhood! The twosome appears for the first time together on a Chicago stage, featuring festive classics remixed in their unmistakable Osmond style. The show will run through December 24. Tickets range from $37 to $100.
