"There's no better opportunity than having hundreds of journalists from around the globe here," said Grady.

Under the program, more than 50 Chicago-area restaurants will present special tasting menus from May 1-25. The program, Chicago's Culinary Crossroads, "is a celebratory way to encourage both residents and visitors to dine out and experience our vibrant, diverse restaurants," O'Grady said in a statement. "I can't think of a better way to honor the nations that will be represented."
