Web Extra: Birds in Ancient Egypt


A new exhibit at the University of Chicago's Oriental Institute showcases the role birds played in ancient Egyptian life, and includes mummies and statues of birds never displayed before. The exhibit's curator, Rozenn Bailleul-LeSuer, explains how birds became so prominent in Egypt and highlights one of her favorite artifacts.
