Yo-Yo Ma

Cellist Yo-Yo Ma joins us on Chicago Tonight at 7:00 pm for a solo performance, and tells us about his latest project with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Martha Gilmer, head of Artistic Planning for the CSO, also joins us. View a behind-the-scenes slideshow of Yo-Yo Ma's visit to our studio.

On Saturday, May 18 at 10:00 am, the CSO will host a special RIVERS symposium, part of a month-long slate of concerts and events celebrating rivers and the special role that they play in sustaining civilization. Yo-Yo Ma will be a panelist and performer during Saturday's program, which includes several discussions interspersed with performances that trace the physical, economic, and cultural impacts that rivers have on us all.
