Celebrate the work of Ludwig van Beethoven, and enjoy a fresh take on classical music at this year’s Beethoven Festival. This week on Chicago Tonight, we previewed the event, which features 100 music, dance, fashion, food, dialogue and art events over the course of nine days. During the festival, a diverse lineup of artists will come together to explore the meaning of Beethoven, art and love in 2013. This year, 35 artists from 10 countries and more than 90 performers will take part in the Love 2013 art show, which is open September 6-15 at the Merit School of Music. Various admission passes are available for attendees to choose from, including a general day pass for a single day at the festival, which costs $30.
