Steichen ǀ Warhol: Picturing Fame Exhibit
This week on Chicago Tonight, we talked with Lisa Corrin, director of the Block Museum about the new Andy Warhol show. You can view the gallery of vintage art at Northwestern University’s newlyreopened Block Museum this weekend. The Steichen ǀ Warhol: Picturing Fame exhibit features portraits of musicians, models, politicians and socialites from the 1920s and 1930s. The exhibit will compare the work of famed photographer Edward Steichen and world-renowned artist Andy Warhol. The gallery will run from January 18 to April 6. Admission is free. Watson Adventures' Mad Science Scavenger Hunt
if you’re looking for a little excitement this weekend, the Museum of Science and Industry has a treat for you. The museum will be holding the Watson Adventures’ Mad Science Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, January 25. Explore many different sites, including a World War II German submarine and a 1930s train, while trying to uncover clues to a mad scientists’ secret plot. Chicago Restaurant Week
Choose Chicago Partnership program looks to highlight the best eats around the city this year at the 2014 Chicago Restaurant Week. Some of the city’s most popular, eclectic and classic restaurants will be featured at this 14-day event. Local foodies will get to choose from over 280 different restaurants. Polar Adventure Days
Looking for a way to enjoy the weekend’s cold weather? Join in on the festivities of the Chicago Park District’s Polar Adventure Days. Play in the snow with family and friends while discovering various animals from the Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation and the Big Run Wolf Ranch. You will also get to enjoy live entertainment from the Dreamtree Shakers and create your own winter masterpiece at various arts and crafts tables. Strictly Sail Chicago
The Midwest's largest indoor boat show plans to take over Navy Pier this weekend. This year’s Strictly Sail Chicago event will feature the newest sailboats, gear, gadgets, and marine accessories. Event-goers will also get the opportunity to attend several educational seminars on boating tips and tricks for novice and experienced sailors. Tickets costs between $12 and $15.
