This week on Chicago TonightChicago Herpetological Society president John Archer and "Frog Lady" Deb Krohn visited our studios to give us a preview of some of the creatures from this weekend’s ReptileFest. You can join in on the fun by visiting the University of Illinois at Chicago. This two-day, action-packed weekend, is the largest educational event in North America. Come face-to-face with a diverse and rich collection of snakes, lizards and other reptiles, including many rare species and live crocodiles. ReptileFest takes place Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13. Admission costs between $7 and $10.

The Family of Woman Film Festival

The Wilmette Theatre looks to bring empowerment to its film festival showing. The Family of Woman Film Festival features films that raise awareness of important issues facing women worldwide. The event supports the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which provides health care for, and promotes the rights of women in more than 150 countries. This year's films were chosen for screening at the Wilmette Theatre by the Festival's founder, Peggy Goldwyn. Peggy Goldwyn will be speaking at the Festival along with other people associated with the films. The event takes place Friday, April 11 through Sunday, April 13. General admission is $10.

Chicago Crafters and Musicians April Pop Up Market

Chicago Crafters and Musicians presents the Chicago Crafters and Musicians April Pop Up Market at Let Them Eat Chocolate. This bi-monthly event highlights eight local Chicago crafters and three musicians as they take over a cozy coffee shop in the Bowmanville neighborhood which borders several neighborhoods: Ravenswood, Edgewater, Andersonville and Lincoln Square. The Chicago Crafters and Musicians April Pop Up Market will also feature the city’s top crafters and live entertainment. The pop up market will take place Saturday, April 12 from noon until 5:00 pm. Admission is free.

Autohaus on Edens Launch 2014 Fashion Show

End your weekend with style at this year’s Autohaus on Edens Launch 2014 Fashion Show. This year’s theme, “Driving Fashion Forward,” looks to inspire guests through innovative designs. Get an exciting spring fashion preview of outfits from some of the North Shore’s finest boutiques. Experience a trunk show and shop through many different accessories for sale, and discover the next big designers through the emerging student design competition with Columbia College Chicago. CoffeeCon 2014

Jumpstart your weekend at this year’s CoffeeCon. Spend your Saturday exploring the only national consumer coffee event in the country. Discover fresh brewing techniques while enjoying the sights of the Zhou B Art Center. This event looks to offer special events for coffee lovers from tips and tricks on roasting coffee beans to making the perfect cup of joe. The event will also feature live music and refreshments. The program runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 12. Admission costs between $10 and $20.
