World Triathlon Runs Through City

Chicago Named A Host City For The ITU World Triathlon Series

One-hundred and thirty of the world’s fastest triathletes – 65 pro men and 65 pro women – will compete in the draft-legal, Olympic-distance race (1,500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike, 10-kilometer run) along the shores of Lake Michigan. On Sunday, triathletes will compete on a similar course with the finish line at Buckingham Fountain. We will talk to a professional athlete and a race organizer. Chicago Tonight's own Elizabeth Brackett will also be competing Sunday.
