The Cubs pitched a winning proposal Thursday, July 10. The Chicago Landmarks Commission voted unanimously to allow Wrigley Field to undergo a $575 million renovation and expansion that has caused considerable controversy between the Cubs owners and rooftop. The Commission gave the Cubs the go ahead to begin the long debated and controversial renovation plans for Wrigley Field.

The 100-year-old Wrigley Field is a designated landmark structure and because of that it cannot be altered without the approval of the Chicago Landmarks Commission. The approved proposal calls for seven signs, including a second video board, instead of the original two signs. Eddie Arruza has the latest.
