Daley refuses to testify in a trial involving an alleged sweetheart deal the Park Grill got with the City. Bruce Rauner and Gov. Pat Quinn go head-to-head, Quinn accusing Rauner of exploiting tax loopholes and his business of benefitting from pay to play politics. In sports, the Hawks re-sign their marquee players Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews to hefty long-term contracts, while Carmelo Anthony is rumored to spurn the Bulls and head back to New York. And the Sox’ Chris Sale and the Cubs’ Anthony Rizzo are late editions to baseball’s All-Star Game.
