Analyzing CPS’ 2015 Budget


Earlier this month Chicago Public Schools unveiled its $5.7 billion 2015 budget. Now there's a controversial accounting change that's making headlines: a two month extension on the 2015 fiscal year that will bring in an extra $650 million and help close a massive budget gap. Inside the budget, some are concerned that charter schools may be getting more funding than neighborhood schools.
