The life of Roberto Clemente will be celebrated in a new Chicago musical. "Clemente: The Legend of 21" tells the story of the late baseball icon’s trials and tribulations. Clemente played 18 seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Many called him a pioneer for Latino players. We preview the musical on Chicago Tonight.

NightBlue Performing Arts Company and ArtoCarpus present the musical, Clemente: The Legend of 21. Celebrated director Luis Caballero looks to bring the inspiring story of famed baseball pioneer Roberto Clemente to Stage773. The play chronicles the life and times of Clemente as he journeys through his historic athletic career. Clemente: The Legend of 21 will be performed through Sept. 14. Tickets cost $35.
