The city's annual Christmas tree recycling program begins Jan. 3. The partnership between the city and the Chicago Park District aims to provide an environmentally friendly way for Chicagoans to dispose of their trees and will run through Saturday, Jan. 17. Last year, more than 10,000 trees were recycled. Trees can be dropped off at one of 23 designated Park District locations. Garlands and wreaths cannot be accepted.
