Chicago’s first snowfall came just in time for the beginning of the city’s annual winter celebration at Navy Pier.

The Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest is back for its 16th year at Navy Pier, with dozens of indoor activities, including an indoor ice rink, Ferris wheel, carousel, a 40-foot hang glider, mini golf and more. The space has been decorated with nearly 500 trees and 25,000 ornaments. Guests can also visit with Santa Claus.

“As we continue to celebrate our Centennial Year and look ahead to the next 100 years of Navy Pier, marquee events such as the Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest will continue to be an integral part of providing expanded arts and culture programming and the best-in-Chicago experience for all of our guests,” said Marilynn Gardner, President and CEO of Navy Pier, in a press release.

Winter WonderFest is open from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. through Thursday. Starting Friday, the event is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays. The event continues through Jan. 8.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person and are offered at two prices: The $10 Mini Pass includes limited access to rides and attractions; the $25 Activity Pass offers full access to all rides and attractions. Children under 36 inches tall can get in for free.
