Date or no date, single or taken, animals at Brookfield Zoo experienced Valentine’s Day with the best kind of gift: food.
Several groups of animals received heart-shaped treats Wednesday prepared with love by the zoo’s animal care staff. They served up a biscuit and gelatin snack for the western lowland gorillas, southern hairy-nosed wombats and Przewalski’s horses. The zoo’s gray seals, meanwhile, were able to munch on heart-shaped gelatin goodies.
