Chicago is a two-newspaper town – for now, at least.

It’s no secret that shrinking newsroom budgets and an ever-evolving media landscape have challenged the paradigms of print journalism. The Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times are doing their best to adapt, and going through big changes.

Tribune employees are pushing to unionize. And last week, the Sun-Times ran a blank front page to introduce its new digital subscription plan.

How will these print rivals weather a turbulent news industry, and will they work together or fight it out?
