The South Korean survival drama, currently the most-watched Netflix series ever, centers on debt-ridden players competing in life-or-death games for a final cash prize. The cultural center said its event was nonlethal and suitable for all ages.

“Squid Game’s” director and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk recently confirmed a second season is in the works.

Kay Kihwa Rho, executive director of the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago, discusses the event as well as the impact of the “Squid Game” series in promoting Korean culture worldwide.
