Chicago Dancer ‘Poppin’ Chuck’ One of Dozens Receiving Historic Grant

Charles “Poppin’ Chuck” Bledsoe has been wowing crowds with his unique dance moves for years. He’s a popper, which is a dance style that started in the late 1960s, but has evolved through the decades. Poppin’ Chuck was recognized by the Chicago-based nonprofit 3Arts, and received a $30,000 award. The organization supports women artists, artists of color, and disabled artists, all in the Chicago area.
