Once the granddaddy of the city’s summer festivals, Taste of Chicago continues to evolve. This year’s event will feature three days of a “bite-sized” Taste downtown in Grant Park, as well as three days of Taste in the neighborhoods.

Austin, Pullman and Little Village will take turns hosting neighborhood-centric versions of Taste on successive weekends in June, kicking off June 11 in Austin as part of the Chicago Blues Festival; Pullman June 18, coinciding with SummerDance; and Little Village on June 25.

From July 8-10, Taste will return to its traditional home in Grant Park, with more than 30 vendors and three stages of entertainment programming.

New this year: Taste has gone ticket-less. All food vendors will accept cash or credit card.

Music highlights announced by the city include Nelly, Aterciopelados, Drive-By Truckers, Sadie Woods and Soul City Blues. The complete schedule is available online. Admission and entertainment are free.
