Skokie Police on Wednesday announced that 23-year-old Jacob Spiro was arrested this week and charged with two counts of falsely making a terrorist threat and one count of disorderly conduct.

Police said they had received 16 reports of bomb and violence threats between September and October. Additionally, police departments in Morton Grove, Niles, WIlmette, Glenview and Northbrook had also received similar reports during that time.

None of the threats were found to be credible, but following what Skokie Police called a “multijurisdictional investigation,” Spiro was identified and arrested Monday.

Police said additional charges could also be filed against Spiro going forward. He is scheduled to appear before a Cook County judge for a detention hearing Wednesday.
