Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks will headline a double-bill at Soldier Field on June 21, city officials announced Thursday morning.
Speculation regarding the announcement had run rampant on social media, with AC/DC the odds-on favorite leading up to the press event.
It’s the first time Joel and Nicks will share a stage in Chicago, according to Live Nation. The two are also taking their joint act — billed as “two icons, one night” — to stadiums in Texas, Ohio, Los Angeles and Nashville.
In the past, Joel has co-headlined tours with Elton John, frequently performing at Wrigley Field.
Nicks is no stranger to stadium tours herself. Dubbed the “high priestess of rock,” Nicks is a two-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, both as a solo artist and member of Fleetwood Mac.
Tickets to the Joel-Nicks concert go on sale to the general public Jan. 12.
