Those who stick around past sunset will find paths around Museum Campus dimmer than usual, courtesy of some planned electrical work by the Chicago Park District and ComEd.

Lights will be out in parking lots and along portions of the lakefront bike and pedestrian trails from 7 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday, according to the Park District.

The affected area is bounded by McFetridge Drive, Monroe Street and DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Officials said Park District security will patrol Museum Campus during the blackout.
