First Planting of Spring in the Chicago Tonight Garden

Last week, Jeanne Nolan of The Organic Gardener returned to the Chicago Tonight garden to help us get spring planting underway.

With the temperature around 40 degrees, it didn’t feel especially spring like, but that didn’t stop Nolan and Phil Ponce from planting the first of our spring crops – including those chosen by viewers.

They also took a look under our winter cold frame and found at least one crop ready to harvest.

Return to our Homegrown section.
