Neighborhood/City:
O'Hare (Chicago)

The snowy owl can be seen this time of the year at the southwest corner of Montrose (East River Road) and Lawrence at the edge of the forest preserves. I saw one for the first time at that location in January 2007. It seemed odd to me to see an owl in the early afternoon at the edge of an intersection, but we are just minutes from the airport and it is home to wildlife.

We saw one at the lansing, I'LL airport this morning at 845
