Woodstock, Illinois is a tiny hamlet known for a few things, most notably as the backdrop for one of the most critically acclaimed films of the last 20 years: Groundhog Day.
Religious leaders have hailed the film as one of the top spiritual movies of all time. The term "Groundhog Day" took on an entirely knew meaning: a metaphor for living the same day over and over again.
As Paris Schutz found out last year, Groundhog Day only gets better with age. Watch Chicago Tonight at 7:00 pm for the story.
And not surprisingly, Woodstock has its own groundhog who will check his shadow Saturday morning at 7:00 am to determine how much longer winter will last. It's just the first in a weekend full of festivities to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of the film. Last year, Woodstock had a similar party to mark the 20th anniversary of the production of the film. So, they're sort of living the anniversary thing over and over again.
