Chicago Tonight: The Week in Review: 10/11

On this edition of Chicago Tonight: The Week in Review with Joel Weisman, Dominick’s parent company Safeway announces all Chicago area stores are closing. There are no new taxes, fees or fines in the new Cook County budget. The city’s not showing all its budget cards yet as hopes are high to fill city coffers with the new speed camera tickets. We take a look ahead at the upcoming veto session in Springfield with a possible pension deal in the offing and a same sex marriage vote possible. The CTA reverses course on payment possibilities as the Ventra card rollout continues to be bumpy. And in sports, the Bears hold on against a hapless Giants team and Joe Girardi snubs the Cubs.

Guests:
- Mary Ann Ahern, NBC-5 Chicago
- Amanda Vinicky, WUIS Illinois Public Radio
- Greg Burns, Chicago Tribune
- Ed Sherman, Sherman Report
