The Week in Review: Supreme Court Strikes Down Federal Abortion Rights


The U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade and ends the federal right to abortion after nearly 50 years. But just under a month since the massacre of 19 children and two teachers at a Texas elementary school, the court expands the right to conceal and carry a gun.

The Jan. 6 hearings into the attack on the U.S. Capitol presents evidence of then-President Donald Trump’s efforts to pressure state officials and the leadership of the Department of Justice to aid his plan to overturn the election results in key states.
