Emerging Latino Music Takes Over Navy Pier at LatiNxt, Aug. 26-27

The seventh annual LatiNxt Music Festival takes over Navy Pier this weekend with two full days and nights of performances showcasing up-and-coming Latino artists.

Navy Pier chief administrative and equity officer Arnie Rivera said the festival lineup is curated to give a feel for the future of music across the Latino diaspora.

“We will have over 15 artists performing across three stages,” Rivera said. “… We’ll also have local vendors participating in artisan markets throughout the pier all weekend long. We work with an organization called Future Rootz, which is a Chicago-based musical collective that has music professionals and cultural innovators who work to identify emerging artists to really showcase these new musical trends.”

LatiNxt Music Festival runs from Saturday, Aug. 26, to Sunday, Aug. 27, at Navy Pier. All performances are free to attend. Full schedule details are available at the Navy Pier website.
