The Week in Review: Criminal Justice Leaders on Same Page This Week

Mayor Lori Lightfoot appears with Kim Foxx and Supt David Brown finding “unity” at a press conference.  And even Chief Judge Tim Evans agrees that it’s time for criminal justice leaders to work together to reduce Chicago’s persistent violence.

Jonathan Jackson filed papers to run for Congressman Bobby Rush’s seat.  Illinois’ wealthiest residents are giving big bucks to Richard Irvin’s gubernatorial run as he continues to dodge reporters’ questions.  After he rips the mayor’s violence response, will Arne Duncan run against Mayor Lightfoot?  And, will the Chicago Teacher’s Union support a run by its own Stacey Davis Gates?
